You'll also master the selection, installation, and maintenance of software along with the modification of and support for standard software, and in marketing you'll learn about the handling of hardware and software products. You'll become a provider of ideas for computer-aided process flow optimisation, and you'll learn about the design of IT and communications systems as well as network administration.

The degree course will provide you with knowledge about all functional business areas including materials management, production, marketing, and accounting. You'll acquire sound knowledge of applied informatics in the disciplines of programming, system analysis, software engineering, operating systems, database systems, office communications & computer networks, the Internet, and multimedia.

Duration of studies

The course lasts for six semesters (3 years). The six semesters are split between theory and practical phases. The theory parts take place in the form of blocks of teaching at the Cooperative State University Villingen-Schwenningen.

Acceptance requirement

At least an advanced technical college certificate with good results (an aptitude test at the university is required) or a general higher education entrance qualification
